Latest Saltdean Loft Conversion Progress: Cladding and Windows Installed
We’re excited to share the latest progress on our Saltdean loft conversion project. With the weathering now complete, the transformation is well underway, and the final stages are coming together beautifully.
In this stage of the project, we’ve installed composite cladding on both the gable and dormer, giving the exterior a sleek and modern look while providing long-lasting protection from the elements. Windows are also being fitted, allowing natural light to flood into the new space, enhancing the overall feel of the rooms.
The stairs are now in place, creating a seamless connection between the new loft space and the existing home. Inside, the plasterboarding is almost finished, and the space is taking shape. With everything prepared, our plasterers will soon begin to smooth the walls, ready for the final touches.
Why Composite Cladding is Ideal for Loft Conversions
Composite cladding is not only visually appealing but also offers several practical benefits. It’s low-maintenance, highly durable, and weather-resistant, making it an excellent choice for the long term. It adds to the energy efficiency of the home, helping to regulate the temperature throughout the year.
Next Steps in Saltdean Loft Conversion: Final Touches
As we wrap up the plasterboarding, the next steps will involve electrical and plumbing installations, followed by finishing the walls and ceilings with a fresh coat of plaster. After that, we’ll move onto the finer details such as installing fixtures and fittings in the new bathroom and completing the two new bedrooms.
